Baseball: Tomlinson Makes Return To Homestate

Kelby Tomlinson, Infielder for the Tacoma Rainiers made his return to his home state of Oklahoma. Tomlinson grew up in Chickasha, Oklahoma before eventually ending up in Elgin, Oklahoma. Tomlinson and the Rainiers made a trip down to Oklahoma City to take on the Dodgers in the 3-game series.

During this series he would tag the Dodgers for 3 hits, as he would pick up a hit in each of the three games. During the month of August, Tomlinson has picked up 10 hits over the 8 games and has secured a 7 game hitting streak so far into this month after a slow start to the season where he hit .241 and had a .264 on base percentage. Since the all-star break Tomlinson has picked up his play, hitting .301 with 9 doubles for the Rainiers.
