Baseball: Rams Outlast Fridage Temps To Extend Win Streak

In game one of a three game set, the Texas Wesleyan Rams beat the Oklahoma Panhandle State Aggies 12-2. This game was played at Texas Wesleyan, and at first pitch the temperature was 40 degrees.

The Rams offense collected 14 hits, as they were led by Julio Ibarra, who went 4-4 with a single, 2 double and a home run (4). Ted Wisdom went 3-3 with 3 singles. Ryan Breaud went 3-4 with 2 singles and a double. Donnie Lopez went 2-5 with 2 singles. Kaden Brown went 1-4 with a single. Kiki Menendez went 1-5 with a 3 run home run (15).

The Rams sent Senior Brad Suggs to the mound and he would go 7 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits. Suggs would finish with 5 strikeouts. With this win, Suggs moves to 8-0 on the season.

Pitcher Brad Suggs said “The conditions were not ideal baseball weather today and we understood that, but we pushed through it to complete a good team win.
