The USAO Drovers took on the Mid-America Evangels Tuesday night and would capture two more wins to add to there impressive resume. In game one, the Drovers won 7-1. In game 2 the Drovers would go onto win 10-2. After these two wins, the Drovers move to 34-1 on the season.
The Drovers would top the Evangels, by the score of 7-1.
The starting pitcher for the Drovers, was Emily Cerny. She would continue her dominant outings and pitch 7 inning, giving up 1 run on 3 hits. Cerny would also finish with 12 strikeouts to push her total to 154 on the season. Cerny is now 19-0 on the season.
The Drover offense would collect just 6 hits, as they would be led by Keely Kingsley and Shania Beck. Kingsley would go 2-4 with 2 singles. Beck would go 2-3 with a single and a home run. Beck would also finish with 3 RBI’s. Chloe Clifton went 1-3 with a single. Darci Chester went 1-4 with a double.
In game 2, the Drovers would knock off the Evangels, by the score of 10-2.
The offense for the Drovers came out hot, as they would put together 15 hits. The offense would be led by Karlie Velasco, as she would have a spectacular night going 4-4 with 4 singles. Chloe Clifton went 3-4 with a single, double and a triple. She would come up just a home run shy of the cycle. Keely Kingsley went 2-4 with 2 singles. Darci Chester went 2-3 with 2 singles. Randa Hatter went 2-3 with a single and home run. Georgia Griffith went 1-3 with a single.
The Drovers pitched Jordan Detherage, who would throw 6 inning, give up 2 runs on 3 hits. Detherage would finish with 7 strikeouts. Detherage moves to 9-1 on the season, after her win against Mid-America.
