Game 1: Drovers Offense Erupts Behind Cerny

The USAO Drovers traveled to Kansas, where they are playing Central Christian Tigers in a 4 game conference series. In game 1 of the 4 game set, the Drovers runruled the Tigers, by the score of 10-1 in a 5 inning game.

The Drovers sent their usual ace to the mound Emily Cerny, and she was yet again exceptional. Cerny went 5 innings, gave up just 1 hit, and 1 run. She also managed to strikeout 11 batters, and only allow 1 walk. The bats really backed up Cerny’s start, as they collected 10 hits. The offense was led by Darci Chester, who went 3-3 with 2 singles and a double. Keely Kingsley went 1-3, with a single. Falon Howell came in to pinch hit in the 5th inning and went 1-1 with a single. Chloe Clifton went 1-3 with a single. Randa Hatter went 1-3 with a double. Shania Beck went 1-2 with a single. Caitlin Hall went 1-2 with a single. Alyson Clemence went 1-3 with a single. In this game, Cerny would get the win and move to 10-0 on the season.

Game 2: Drovers Gain 20th Win On The Season

In game 2 of this 4 game set, the Drovers again runruled the Tigers 11-2. With this win they move to 20-1 on the season, and are now 5-1 in conference play.

The offense came ready to go in this game, as they put together 10 hits. They were led by Alyson Clemence, as she went 2-3 with 2 singles. Rhylee Vandiver went 2-3 with 2 singles. Keely Kingsley went 1-3 with a single. Chloe Clifton went 1-3 with a home run (2). Karmyn Pearn went 1-1 with a pint hit single. Darci Chester went 1-2 with a single. Caitlyn Hall went 1-2 with a single. Kindle Nelms went 1-3 with a single. The Drovers used two pitchers in this contest, Jordan Detherage and Falon Howell. Detherage went 3 innings, gave up 1 run on 1 hit, and struck out 3 tiger batters. Howell pitch 2 innings, gave up 1 run on 1 hit, and struck out 1. In this contest, Detherage would finish with the win and move to 7-1 on the season.
