Shortstop P.J. Garcia said “We as a team have been playing well in all areas of the game. We kept it rolling this week. Great starts on the mound from Mason and Stephen. Stephen with a no hitter till the 6th was exciting and had everyone focused on the game. We had great at bats from everyone on the team today and we look to keep that going into this weekend and the season. We just need to continue to trust the process.”
Pitcher Stephen Wright said “I can’t say enough good things about the team so far. Offensively we are absolutely crushing the ball. Averaging over 10 runs per game is a huge asset to the pitching staff and the 4 home runs from P.J. today was biblical. The defense today was rock solid and helped me carry a no-hitter late into the fifth inning. Throwing a game like that is exhilarating, to say the least and the excitement was only compounded by it happening in my last season. It’s a game that I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”
