Boys: Panthers Survive In Regional Battle

In a elimination game of the regional basketball tournament, the Am-Po Panther beat the Ninnekah Owls 48-37. The Panther would be lead by Skylar Croskey, as he would score 18 points and grab 10 rebounds. The Owls would be led by Cade Heavin, as he would score 7 points in the game.

1st Half:

The first quarter would go in favor of the Panthers, as they would win the quarter 16-7. In the first frame, the Panthers would be led by Hayden Savage, who hit 2 three-pointers in the quarter. The Owls would be led by Ethan Mann, as he would have 3 points in the first frame. The second quarter would be low scoring, as both team would finish with just 6 points. The Owls would have three players score 2 points in the quarter, Tyler Hill, Cade Heavin, and Dalton Claphan. The Panthers were led by Nathan Ratcliff, as he would have 3 points. Going into halftime, the Panthers would have the lead 22-16.

2nd Half:

The third quarter would favor the Owls (11-7). The Owls would be led by Mann, as he would connect on another 3 pointer. In this quarter the Panthers would be led by Croskey, as he would score 4 points. The 4th quarter would go back to the Panthers, as they would win the quarter 19-13. The Panthers were led by Savage, as he would have 9 points in the quarter. The Owls would be led by Austin Williams, as he would score 6 points in the frame.

Player of the game:

Skylar Croskey- He finished with a double-double, and scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds.

What’s next:

Am-Po: The Panthers will play Navajo on Saturday at 8 P.M.

Ninnekah- With this loss, the Owls season has come to a hault.
