Girls: Panthers Win In Low Scoring Affair

The Am-Po Panthers beat the Minco Bulldogs, by the score of 34-33. The leading scorer for the Panthers, was Ashley Kemp. She would score 15 points, and tacked on 4 rebounds. The Bulldogs would be led by Cassidy Franklin, as she would score 9 point and grab 2 rebounds.

1st half:

In the first quarter, the Panthers would get a small lead. They would win the quarter 14-12. The Panthers would be led by Kemp, as she would score 6 point during this quarter. The Bulldogs would be led by Franklin, as she would score 7 points in the quarter.

The second quarter would turn into a defensive frenzy, as they would be tied at 4 at the end of the quarter. Going to the half, the Panthers had a 2 point lead, 18-16. The Panthers would be led by Kemp, as she would hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer. The Bulldogs would be led by Brittney Mitchell, as she would score 2 points and grab 2 boards during the quarter.

2nd half:

The third quarter would again tie, as they would both score 6 points in the quarter. They Bulldogs would be led by Rylee Redlinger, as she would score 5 point in the quarter. The Panthers would be led by Caton Muncy, as she would finish with 4 points and 3 rebounds in the quarter.

The fourth quarter would be won by the Bulldogs, by the score of 11-10. The Bulldogs would be Emme Douglas, as she would score 5 point in the frame. The Panthers would be led by Kemp, as she would score 6 points in the quarter.

Final thoughts:

The Panthers would finish with 7 turnovers, while the Bulldogs would have 9 on the night. The Panthers shot 6/11 from the free throw line, while the Bulldogs would shoot 8/13.
