Chickasha Basketball Tournament Brackets Released

Starting on January 4 and ending on January 6, will be the Chickasha basketball classic. This year the boys bracket will be featured by 2 Texas teams, which include Decatur Texas and Wichita Falls Hirschi. The girls bracket will be featured around the top seed Yukon. They are currently ranked 16th in class 6A.

Boys Bracket:

The boys bracket will start at 11:30 a.m., where we will see the top seed Northwest Classen against Altus. The winner will play Friday at 8:30 p.m. The Loser will play at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.

The next matchup will feature Decatur Texas against Duncan. This game is set to start at 2:30 p.m. The winner will play Friday at 8:30 p.m. The loser will play at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.

The following game will be between Wichita Falls Hirschi and US Grant. This game is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. The winner will advance to play on Friday at 5:30 p.m. The loser will play at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.

The last game of the night will feature Chickasha versus Cache. This game is set to start at 8:30 p.m. The winner will play on Friday at 5:30 p.m. The loser will play on Friday at 2:30 p.m.

The boy’s championship game is set for Saturday at 8:30 p.m. The 3rd place game is expected the start at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The 5th place game scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The 7th place game is set to start at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Chickasha’s head coach Wes Pulliam said “Northwest Classen is ranked number one and has a very good team. Hirschi has everyone back. Cache has some very good guards and we only know that Decatur is always competitive in Texas. We are going to have to rebound better and make shots to compete.”

Chickasha’s assistant coach Chase Johnson said “The tournament is absolutely stacked as always. Very good basketball teams are in it. We will have to play disciplined, fundamentally sound basketball to win the tournament and have to hit some outside jumpers.”

Cache’s head coach Miles Thompson said “We will need to play our absolute best. This tournament is filled with very good teams all around!!”

Decatur’s head coach Drew Coffman said “We are looking forward to the tournament and looking forward to the great competition we will see. It’s exciting for us to play some new faces and see some different styles of play through out the tournament.

Hirschi’s head coach Don Hedge said “This tournament has a lot of great talent. This will be perfect for us, cause when we get back we start district play.

Girls Bracket:

The girls bracket will start at 10:00 a.m. In that game we will see Lawton Mac versus the Chickasha JV. The winner will play on Friday at 4:00 p.m. The loser will play at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.

The next game will feature Yukon and Star Spencer. This game is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. The Winner will play at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The loser will play at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.

The following game will be between Altus and the Mustang JV. This game is expected to begin at 4:00 p.m. The winner will play at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The loser will play on Friday at 10:00 a.m.

The final game of the girl’s bracket, will be Chickasha against Cache. This game is set to start at 7:00 p.m. The winner will play at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The loser will play on Friday at 1:00 p.m.

Lawton Mac’s head coach said “Teams will present some challenges for us especially with no scouting film or reports. My team is young, but we will be ready to meet any challenge. I love my team of girls, because they have the heart of a champion.
