After week 1 we learned a lot of things, from who was ranked wrong to who was ranked right. A lot of teams made a strong statement though, from Alabama to both Oklahoma schools.
1. Alabama (1-0)
The Alabama Crimson Tide won a very impressive game against (#3) Florida State, by a score of 24-7. The Tide got a good game out of Damien Harris. He ran for 73 yards and a touchdown. Alabama takes on Fresno State Saturday Sept. 9, 2017, at 2:30 CT, on ESPN 2.
2. Ohio State (1-0)
The Ohio State Buckeyes ran away with a win over Indiana 49-21. The Buckeyes got a great performance from J.T. Barrett, who threw for 304 yards and 3 touchdowns. The Freshman running back J.K. Dobbins, gained 182 yards , which averaged 6.2 yards per carry. The Ohio State Buckeyes will play the Oklahoma Sooners next Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at 6:30 CT, on ABC.
3. Clemson (1-0)
The Clemson Tigers took care of business against Kent State, with a score of 56-3. The Tigers got a great game from new quarterback Kelly Bryant, who threw for 236 yards with 1 touchdown. The Clemson Tigers play the Auburn Tigers on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at 7 pm on ESPN.
4. Oklahoma (1-0)
The Oklahoma Sooners defeated the UTEP Miners, with a score of 56-7. The Sooners got an excellent start from quarterback Baker Mayfield, who completed 19-20 passes for 329 yards and 3 touchdowns. Mayfield only played the first half. The Sooners continued to see great things from Mark Andrews where he caught 7 passes for 134 yards and 1 touchdown. The Sooners travel to Columbus to play the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday Sept 9, 2017 at 6:30 CT, on ABC.
5. Penn State (1-0)
The Penn State Nittany Lions got a good win over the Akron Zips, by the score of 52-0. The Lions got a huge game from running back Saquon Barkley, who ran for 172 yards with 2 touchdowns. The quarterback Trace McSorley threw for 280 yards with 2 touchdowns. The Penn State Lions play the Pittsburgh Panthers, on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at 2:30 CT, on ABC.
6. Michigan (1-0)
The Michigan Wolverines beat the Florida Gators, by the score of 33-17. The Wolverines got a great start from quarterback Wilton Speight, who threw for 181 yards with 1 touchdown, but he also suffered 2 interceptions. The Michigan Wolverines play the Cincinnati Bearcats, on Saturday,Sept. 9, 2017, at 11 CT, on ABC.
7. Oklahoma State (1-0)
The Oklahoma State Cowboys beat the Tulsa Hurricanes, with a score of 59-24. Heisman Canidate Mason Rudolph passed for 303 yards and 3 touchdowns. Wide-Out James Washington, caught 6 passes for 145 yards and added 2 touchdowns. The Oklahoma State Cowboys play the South Alabama Jaguars, on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017 at 7 pm CT, on ESPN 2.
8. LSU (1-0)
The LSU Tigers defeated the BYU Cougars with a score of 27-0. The Tigers got a big game from running back Derrius Guice who ran for 126 yards and 2 touchdowns. The LSU defense held BYU to 2/10 on 3rd conversions and 0/1 on 4th down. The LSU Tigers play the Chattanooga Mocs, on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at 6:30pm CT.
9. USC (1-0)
The USC Trojans beat Western Michigan with a score of 49-31. The Trojans had a great performance from running back Ronald Jones, who gained 159 yards and added 3 touchdowns. The USC Trojans play the Stanford Cardinals, on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at 5:30 PT, on FOX.
10. Washington (1-0)
The Washington Huskies beat the Rutgers Knights with a score of 30-14. The Huskies got a good game from quarterback Jake Browning , who threw for 284 yards with 2 touchdowns. The Washington Huskies play the Montana Grizzly, on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at 5:00 PT.
These are my prediction for the top 10 this next week. The reason I have Oklahoma University at 4 is for media and advertisement, since they play Ohio State. Teams that just missed the cut are Florida State, Wisconsin, Auburn and Stanford. If you any question why I put certain teams in certain rankings just comment below this story and I will answer them.
