In the championship game of the Washita Valley Classic the Bethany Bronchos beat the Altus Bulldogs 6-4. The Bronchos only managed 4 hits, led by Chase Wetwiska who went 2-4 with 2 singles including 2 RBI’S. Ben Lawson went 1-3 with a single and a walk and Jake Adams went 1-3 with a single. The Bronchos sent Ben Lawson to the mound where he went 4 1/3 innings, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits and striking out 4 batters. The relief pitcher was Tyler Broyles who went 2 2/3 innings giving up 1 hit and striking out 5 batters.
Altus was led by Adrian Rodriguez who went 3-4 with 2 singles and a double. Marcus Molina went 2-4 with a single and double. Tyler Garcia went 1-3 with a single and Isaiah Hocker went 1-3 with a double. The starting pitcher for Altus was Sean Torres who went 6 innings, giving up 1 hit, and striking out 9 batters. The relief pitcher was Garrett Leaf who went 1 inning giving up 3 unearned runs.

Chase Wetwiska- Wetwiska went 2-4, while hitting two guys in to take the lead 6-4.
Centerfielder Jake Adams said “It was a great team win. Although we did not have the best night at the plate, we managed to see more pitches and were able to get on base with what was given to us. Defensively we played fantastic, our pitching executed and allowed the us to do our job in the field. As a whole it was a great experience with the team in an intense environment with a great ball game on the line.”
