Chicks fall short of the Wildcats

The Chicks started off the game on the right note, scoring 5 points straight out of the gate and even took the lead 5-4 after a Mackenzie Pullium 3 pointer. Then the Wildcats went on a 16-0 run, to take the lead at 20-5 at the beginning of the 2nd quarter. After 6 straight misses, Meredith Noland scored a 2 point basket to break the run. The Chicks went into the half down 35-14. The Wildcats out scored the Chicks 17-5 in the 1st quarter, and 18-9 in the 2nd. Jaycie Brown came out of half time and made a 2 point basket to start the quarter. The Chicks still saw themselves down by 25 at the end of the 3rd period. The Wildcats out scored the Chicks 9-5 during the 3rd quarter. Chickasha would later out score Piedmont 11-8 in the 4th period, while Elam scored 9 of her 16 points in the 4th. Despite the strong finish, with 11 points in the 4th quarter, the Chicks couldn’t secure the win, losing to the Wildcats 52-30.

Player of the game:

Lynnsie Elam: Elam had a good game scoring 16 points, while shooting 6/16 from the floor.
