Bob Stoops Sooners (10-2, 9-0 Big 12) are just coming off the Big 12 championship game against Oklahoma State, the Sooners won 38-20.

Gus Malzahn Tigers (8-4, 5-3 Sec) coming off a very tough game against number 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide losing 30-12. The Tigers finished second in the Sec West division finishing behind Alabama.

This is only the second matchup between these two programs, back in the 1972 the Sooners beat Auburn 40-22, also in the Sugar Bowl.

What to know about Oklahoma:

The Sooners have had a very good season after a tough non-conference schedule losing 2 out of 3, one of the loses coming to Houston 33-23, and one loss to Ohio State 45-24. They have went on a 9 game winning streak after losing to the Buckeyes, the offense has exploded for 45 points per game which is 3rd in the nation. The defense for the Sooners is giving up 30 points per game which is 75th in the nation. The Sooners have a lot of weapons on offense including Baker Mayfield who has thrown for 38 touchdowns with 3,669 yards passing. The Sooners duo the running back position  with Samaje Perine who has 11 touchdowns on 974 yards. Joe Mixon has 8 touchdowns with 1,183 yards with an average of 7 yards per carry. Sooner fans are hoping that star wide receiver Dede Westbrook will be back in action after suffering a concussion against Oklahoma State. Westbrook has had a great season scoring 16 touchdowns with 1,465 yards for an average of 20 yards per catch. Ogbonnia Okoronkwo is leader of the Sooner defense, alongside Jordan Evans. Okoronkwo has recorded 9 sacks with 67 total tackles. Evans has had a good season with 89 total tackles and 4 interceptions and has also recorded 2 touchdowns. Steven Parker is going to have to step-up for the Sooners, he has 55 total tackles while adding 2 interceptions. Austin Seibert has 67/69 extra points and making 11/15 field goals.

What to know about Auburn:

Auburn has had a good season, starting off playing Clemson and losing 19-13. Auburn coming a tough game against Alabama, losing 30-12. Auburn fans are hoping that quarterback Sean White will be back after missing the last two games due to a shoulder injury.The offense for Auburn is very explosive when White is playing, The Tigers are averaging 32 points per game. The defense is holding teams to 16 points per game, but will be up to true test with the Sooner offense. White has had an average season but has battled injuries and has young receivers. White has thrown for 9 touchdowns with 1,644 yards. The rushing crew are led by Kerryon Johnson who has 11 touchdowns with 862 yards. Kamryn Pettway has 7 rushing touchdowns with 1,123 yards. The leader of the defense is Carl Lawson who has 9.5 sacks and 13 tackles for loss. The kicker for both teams will be important with how good the defenses are, Daniel Carlson has made 43/43 extra points and 26/30 field goals.

Who has the edge:

Offense: Oklahoma- Oklahoma is ranked 10th in the nation and Auburn is 61st.

Defense: Auburn- The defense for the Sooners has had alot of problems throughout the whole year. Auburns defense is very strong only giving up 16 points per game which is 5th in the nation.
