Alabama is known for producing good running backs, in 2010 Mark Ingram, Eddie Lacy, Derrick Henry. But this year Alabama has true freshman Jalen Hurts who has had a good year throwing for 21 touchdowns and only 9 interceptions. Alabama for sure has the best team of 2016 but will be tested throughout this whole playoffs. Normally the Crimson Tide has been known to the defense, but this year they have been a very balanced team, scoring 41 points per game and averaging 470 yards per game. The defense has been just as good as the offense with only giving up 12 points per game and holding teams t0 250 yards per game.
What to know about Washington:
The Huskies suffered only one loss on the season to USC 26-13 at home. Just like Alabama they are led by a young quarterback, Jake Browning is a sophomore and is having a year to remember throwing for 42 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. The Huskies have 2 great wideouts, John Ross catching 17 touchdowns with 1,122 yards. The other receiver is Dante Pettis catching 14 touchdowns with 796 yards. Myles Caskin leads the team in rushing with 10 touchdowns and 1,339 yards. The offensive group for the Huskies scoring 45 points per game while averaging 480 yards, and the defense holding teams to 17 points per game.
