This will be the first matchup between these two teams since 2009. Colorado and Oklahoma State were in the same big 8 conference till 2011 and Colorado moved to the Pac-12. Both teams have a lot to prove with both of them coming out of loses Colorado to the Washington Huskies and the Cowboys to the Oklahoma Sooners. Whatever teams wins this game will finish in the top 10 for the season. The Colorado Buffaloes were one of the biggest surprises of the 2016 season, in 2015 the Buffaloes went 4-9 and 1-8 in conference play.

What to know about the Cowboys:

After starting the season 2-2 and suffering a tough lose to Central Michigan the Cowboys turned it around winning 7 in a row. The Cowboys are led by Junior Mason Rudolph has had a great year throwing for 25 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions. There are 2 other guys who do a lot of damage for the Cowboys, James Washington who has 9 touchdowns and 1209 yard receiving. Freshman running back Justice Hill had scored only 5 time but has 1080 yards rushing. The defense is the only soft spot for the Cowboys giving up 30 points per game, and averaging giving up around 460 yards per game.

What to know about Colorado:

This secondary for Colorado is elite and will force Rudolph to fit passes into tight windows. The offense for the Buffs is led by running back Phillip Lindsay who has scored 16 times while adding 1189 yards on the ground. The receiving core is led by Shay Fields scoring 9 times and adding 845 yard threw the air.

Who has the edge?

Offense: Cowboys. They are just a good offensive teams at throwing deep shots and it will be a big test with how good this Colorado defense is.

Defense: Colorado. The defense struggled last week but with their secondary and linebackers this defense is elite.
